What is Vision Therapy
What is Vision Therapy?
Helping the Eyes and Brain Work Better Together
Vision Therapy is a customized treatment program designed to improve how the eyes and brain work together.
At Hope Vision Development Center, we provide Vision Therapy for children and adults throughout Orlando, Clermont, Winter Garden, and Central Florida who struggle with reading, eye alignment, focusing, tracking, visual processing, or visual comfort.
Vision Therapy is not about strengthening eye muscles. It is about improving visual function—how efficiently the visual system supports reading, learning, attention, sports, and daily life.
Who Can Benefit from Vision Therapy?
Vision Therapy may help patients who experience:
Eye alignment problems
Eye teaming difficulties
Eye tracking problems
Focusing issues
Double vision
Headaches or eye strain
Losing place while reading
Skipping or re-reading lines
Poor reading endurance
Visual processing difficulties
Vision-related symptoms after concussion
Many patients have 20/20 eyesight but still struggle because their eyes are not working together efficiently.
What Does Vision Therapy Treat?
Vision Therapy may be recommended for conditions such as:
Convergence Insufficiency
Eye Alignment Problems

A Binocular Vision Evaluation is required before beginning Vision Therapy so we can determine whether treatment is appropriate and create an individualized plan.

Sessions may include activities for:
Eye teaming
Eye alignment
Eye tracking
Focusing flexibility

Visual processing
Visual-motor coordination
Each activity is carefully selected and adjusted as the patient improves.
