Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • We currently see ages 5 and older.

  • Most insurance companies consider vision therapy and the type of testing we do a "non-covered" service, similar to braces or chiropractic care. Our office is considered an out of network provider for all medical or vision insurance plans.  Meaning, we do not submit insurance claims and payment is due at the time of service.

However, depending on your insurance coverage, you may be able to submit a claim and receive some reimbursement.  We will provide you with a statement that you can use to submit to your insurance company.

  • Bincoularl Vision Evaluation = $275 (+/- 60-90 minutes)

    Visual Processing Evaluation = $195 (+/- 45-60 minutes)

Doctor Conference = Fee included (+/- 45-60 minutes)

  • A routine eye exam tests for structural or physical impairments of the eyes, such as:

Disorders of the shape and length of the eyes: nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism - this is treated with glasses and/or contact lenses

Eye health - diseases of the eyes

A binocular vision evaluation tests the coordination of:

The two eyes as a team (Binocular Vision)

The eye muscles for focusing (Accommodation)

The eye muscles for tracking (Ocular Motor)

A Visual Processing Evaluation tests the communication between the eyes and the brain and how well the brain can make sense of what is seen.

Disorders of the coordination of the eyes and eye muscles as well as visual processing by the brain seriously impact one’s ability to read and learn, regardless of needing glasses or having 20/20 vision.

  • Vision Therapy is an investment in your patient’s future.

Program duration and costs vary depending on diagnoses, the severity of symptoms, and your goals. As a general guideline, vision therapy costs can be compared to orthodontics, learning centers, or private tutoring.

We offer two Vision Therapy options:

    1. In-Office Program

    2. At-Home Program

Vision Therapy sessions are weekly and are one-on-one with a therapist. We will provide an estimated minimum number of sessions at your consultation once testing is completed. The average program is 22 sessions with 2 progress evaluations. The monthly payment for the 22 session program is $700 for 6 months.
